Studies
The Department of Information and Computer Science provides both B.Sc. and M.Sc. level education in computer science as part of the Degree Programme of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and as part of the Degree Programme of Bioinformation Technology (BIO) at the Aalto University School of Science and Technology. The department's subject areas in B.Sc. level education are
- computer and information science (CSE),
- theoretical computer science (CSE), and
- computational and cognitive bioscience (BIO),
and in M.Sc. degree education,
- computer and information science (CSE),
- language technology (CSE),
- computational science (CSE),
- theoretical computer science (CSE), and
- computational and cognitive bioscience (BIO).

The Department also offers education for B.Sc. students from Finland and abroad aiming for a Master's degree in the following international Master's programmes:
- Master's Programme in Machine Learning and Data Mining (Macadamia),
- Master's Degree Programme in Bioinformatics (MBI) (jointly organised with University of Helsinki),
- Master's Programme in Foundations of Advanced Computing (FAdCo),
- Master's Programme in Systems Biology (euSYSBIO) (jointly organized with KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and Institute Superior Tecnologico in Portugal).
